Camp runs from mid June to the end of July. Camp sessions are one week long, beginning Sunday afternoon and usually ending Friday afternoon (exceptions are "One"derful week and Kids' week). The majority of our weeks are differentiated by age group. During these weeks we accept people with a range of needs, from people who are very independent to people who require one-on-one care. Staff-to-camper ratios during a typical camp week range from 1:1 to 1:4. "One"derful week is designed specifically for people who require 1:1 care. Sports week is a session of sports programming specifically for independent campers (no 1:1 staffing available) who enjoy playing sports.
Our campers range in age from 7 to 75 plus. Campers' diagnoses also varies. Unfortunately, we can not support campers with trachs or vents but generally are able to support any other diagnosis. If you'd like to talk about the needs of camper, we can certainly help you determine what might be the best week for them to attend. Before we register new campers, we do like to meet them (tours are great for this) and talk to their family/staff about their needs with daily living skills and behavior management. We can also have that talk via a phone call if that is better for you. Feel free to reach out to the office with any questions. We are ready to help!
